Aster Purple Prince has big double lavender and purple flowers. The petals have a lighter backing and are very rich in colour. This is the last aster to start flowering in my garden.
Asters bloom from late summer to mid-autumn and make fabulous vase flowers.
Enrich the soil with rotted manure before planting. Asters are hardy perennials, I grow mine in full morning sun and semi shade in the afternoon. Established plants can be divided after winter.
