Aster Lutea Solidaster Lemore commonly called goldenrod or golden aster displays hundreds of closely spaced circular brightly coloured yellow flowers flowering from late summer. A clump forming herbaceous perennial that attracts bees and butterflies. It is a popular cut flower world wide.
Grows best in average, dry to medium well-drained soils in full sun. Aster lutea produces large clusters of gorgeous pale lemon yellow daisy like flowers on the terminals of the 60cm stems. Summer to autumn flowers can be cut back for flower arranging, which may provide a second set of blooming in autumn.
Aster Lutea (also known as Solidaster Lemore) is a cross between Aster ptarmicoides and Solidago canadensis.
